People who shit on all soulslikes because 'rollslop' are crazy. It's such a simple, natural system. What, it's bad because it's too simple for you? You don't play any "simple" games where the main mechanics are dodging and attacking? If it has stamina it's not an action game anyway. Wuchang is like a blend. Positioning matters too because there's no auto-tracking, but many moves do rush you forward (or backward) quite far (enemies have huge collision boxes to compensate this that can quickly block you into a corner. It's kind of like Bloodborne with more of an action game leaning, like more overpowered moves everywhere but somehow bosses compensate and you can summon AI cooperator for the strongest ones, which I think some fights were designed for as they were so hard solo
