Choji and Neji should have absolutely died on this mission, the fact that they survive just cheapens the emotional weight of their "death" scenes. And Rock Lee absolutely doesn't need to show up vs. Kimimaro, he only shows up for comic relief to delay the main fight. These things really bugged me and turned the Recovery arc from a masterpiece to just good but not great
