Something similar happened to me, first girl I ever kissed and went on a couple of dates with rejected me when I asked her to be my girlfriend, I then proceeded to block her on every form of social media and thought about her off and for 10 years until she died probably from an OD or something 3 years ago(never learned the real Cause of death). It's crazy because the only reason I found out she died was due to a random dream where she blamed me for abandoning her and I profusely tried to get her to forgive me and talk to me for some reason and when I woke up I decided to search her up on Facebook and was met with a bunch of rest in peace messages that hit me to my very core.

Never talked to a girl or asked a girl out since that day she rejected me.
