A brief summary of Ukraine's most significant victories in the war against Russia. These are just the major operarions, of course.

Ukraine stands. Ukraine fights against an enemy much larger and better armed.

◾ February 25 – April 2, 2022. Battle for Kyiv. Thwarting of Russia's blitzkrieg, halting of the offensive on Kyiv. Counteroffensive near Kyiv, liberation of Bucha, Irpin, Hostomel, and the entire Kyiv region.

◾ March – April 7, 2022. Liberation of Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Complete withdrawal of Russian troops from northern Ukraine.

◾ April 14, 2022. Sinking of the Moskva cruiser. The flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was destroyed. The plans for a naval landing operation on Odesa were disrupted.

◾ August 29 – November 11, 2022. Kherson counteroffensive, resulting in the liberation of the city of Kherson and part of Kherson region.

◾ September 6 – October 11, 2022. Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive in Kharkiv region, liberation of Izium, Kupiansk, and other large settlements.

◾ September 10 – October 1, 2022. Lyman offensive operation, liberation of the city of Lyman.

◾ August 6, 2024. Kursk operation. Ukrainian Armed Forces advance into Russian territory to hold back reinforcements and threaten Russian troops in the rear.

◾ June 1, 2025. Spiderweb, a unique operation by the Security Service of Ukraine, which resulted in the destruction of more than 40 units of the occupiers' strategic aviation deep in the rear with the help of drones.

◾ June 12, 2025. Russian losses reach 1 million people.
