Despite the pantsu I was a little surprised how safe it all was. I'm not sure who the target audience is, but it's not going to be enough to pull coomers from whatever game they're sunk in. The first two or three limiteds on launch really need to blow socks off.
Combat looked worse than I remember. Way worse. Maybe it's more fluid when playing it yourself or it's beta jank, but watching it there's all these screenwide animations with massive distance and lingering SFX and random camera jerking and instant resets. The camera following your ally bore monster charge before snapping back is particularly bad. Enclosed spaces like forests exasperate it though.
Kibomon battles looked like something I would never do after like a few days. Not into PvP shit.
The UI for anything to do with the monsters is cool. I really like the digital sprite look the active menu has.
God damn the butterfly/moth/fairy monster girl is huge. What the fuck. I always pictured her really small.

At this point I don't really think it's a game for me, but i'm not heckin' conernerino'd that it'll fail. It's not bad at all. Just aggressively average.
