Id' say it helped a lot, but still, Black Clover is a hard series to gauge popularity for.
It's hugely popular in low income territories like Eastern Europe, SEA and Latin America where official licensed manga comes out at a slower pace, but streaming services like Crunchyroll and Netflix are gaining subscribers every day.

My guess is that after seeing the popularity of the movie worldwide, those countries licensed the missing volumes now that the japanese volumes release slower than before, so the Backlog sales all around the world had a chance to catch up.

That and still being popular in the USA and France definitely helped a lot.

It's a GIGA JUMP no matter how you look at it (heh :) )
