Shutter counts are a meme, the wear they experience is so minimal. Generally when they fail it's because they've heated up and warped from extended periods of continuous shooting, or get dust in them. They don't really just "wear through" eventually. You gotta remember when they rate these things, they have the cameras firing on continuous mode. Certain cameras also have "bad batch" shutters like the a7iii and the APS-H canons. Shutter failures on most models are exceedingly rare, most people don't shoot that much and it's not even a high chance to fail if they do. Far more common are drops, water damage, corrosion or moisture/condensation buildup. Don't let it scare you away from taking some great photos, after all it was only eighty bucks.
>t. my 5d2 rated for 150k currently at 500k, which I use on continuous all the time
