We used to drive 18 hours to visit my in-laws and would always eat at Cracker Barrel at some point along the way. Don’t do that drive any longer and haven’t gone to one since 2022. I’d would go there if there was one close to me but they seem to only be placed next to interstates.

Always got the Grandpa’s Big Breakfast with the cinnamon apples and the hash browns with hog yowls or whatever in them. And we shared some fried okra. They would give us a bunch of cornbread too. Man I loved going to Cracker Barrel with my fambly.

Pastrami or corned beef + Swiss cheese + 1000 island dressing on rye. Butter the outsides of the sandwich, then fry it.

Roast beef + havarti or Munster cheese slices + slice of tomato + mayonnaise on whole grain bread. Served cold.

Thick sliced country or Honey Baked ham + sliced Swiss cheese + bread and butter pickle rounds + yellow mustard on rye bread.

Pork chop + bread and butter pickle rounds on white bread. Doesn’t need a condiment but possibly a little Dijon mustard.
