Did the latest abyss and had a chuckle when I saw floor 11 had a horde consisting of 42 treasure hoarder grunts. Unfortunately I had already sent in my best team just to clean it up and I couldn't be bothered to restart, but it would probably have been fun to embrace the chaos with something like nilou bloom or just a hyperbloom team in general where you'd get to see dozens of damage numbers floating around
This made me think of how none of the game modes really make me use my 'weaker' characters since I always can just deploy my best teams. IT is the closest we'll get, but that mode is more about creating a mishmash of random characters with buffed reactions rather than sending in the B-team to deal with some weak enemies

They should combine all of the game modes where you basically have to climb through a series of floors with increasingly difficult enemies but only get to use your characters once or twice, except you have access to all of them right away. I feel like this would make it far more likely to put you in a scenario where you feel like your old deprecated DPS teams from Sumeru era Genshin (or older) still can be useful since you 'spend' those characters on something.
With a large enough selection of available bosses they could also have a lot more varied chambers on the individual floors. Imagine if you had something like a series of branching paths where to clear the equivalent of floor 11 you had to select 1 of a couple of different rooms, one being an aoe heavy room with 50+ enemies, one being a structure defense, one being a boss with a specific gimmick/weakness etc. and then you move on to floor 12 where you have another brand new selection of encounters

This game has a roster of like 100+ characters and most of them are wasted on being benchwarmers
