Thanks for keeping the sites and other poni avenues going for so long, anon. Get well soon.
>cost
PT is like $200 currently, right? If need be, I technically could cover that monthly for a couple years even if I get fired tomorrow, but obviously I'd rather not be the sole paypig keeping the site alive, you know. Bus factor is a thing.
I'll probably increase my donations, does LiberaPay forward entire amount when I pay upfront for a few months, or does it trickle down monthly?
>skills
t. server janny, not fired yet, more experience with baremetal Linux boxes + onprem k8s than clouds, but every workplace is different I suppose. At least I'd humbly claim I'm not completely retarded.
To be honest with you, I do not have experience maintaining services for public audience however, and the "edgier" kind like 4chan or wherever people of raid of the evening came from. This might be important, but I'm not familiar what kind of expertise this requires. From basic curiosity it seems it's just a dedi in OVH US, no CF+Nigerian reverse proxy like Twibooru has, and the site seems... fine?
>time/energy
How much are we talking about, say, weekly? Aside from work I usually find some time on weekends to maintain my home >prod, but I don't want to impose and claim I'll do more than I'll be able to.
I guess in the beginning more time would have to be invested to get familiar with current infra and issues, research and discuss some plans to resolve them, etc.
>trust
I'm just an anon, I don't have a portfolio of significant pony sites you might recognize, and I don't feel like showing you my IRL resume and dox is the best way to gain that trust.
If I were (You), I'd look into something to share the responsibility of infra changes between 2+ admins, something akin to gitops with PR approvals. I don't mean PonyTube should migrate to K8s, but I would argue this mountain of abstraction can have some benefits in these cases.
>legal, DMCA, etc.
I'm an ESL so I have no idea how that works being a replaceable apt upgrade guy for a rather legal, clearnet service hosted in foreign country. I would prefer not to have issues/concerns on my mind caused by this.
I also need to note I'm not familiar with pseudonymous site hosting, e.g. payments and registration KYC for domains/servers, I obviously don't know how your sites are handled now, but I would assume some sites around here might not have real life information attached to them.
>drama, namefagging, moderation policies, etc.
I don't want to be involved in this, sounds like too much useless stress.

>tfw job application post
Well, I just wanted to say I like ponies, have undefined amount of skills and time, but I don't want too much additional stress. If you can't find anyone else, maybe I could be of some part-time help.

I'm glad some stupid vent I wrote resonated with someone, sometimes it really feels like we're alone out there and you've proven it wrong.
Thanks anons, genuinely.
I'm gonna try to enjoy the poni poni time of year as much as I can and I hope you do too. No matter how bad the world gets we always have mares to fall back on to lift our spirits and inspire us. Sometimes I think about how crazy it is that almost half my life has been dominated by this silly show already, but every second has been a blast so I'm not gonna stop any time soon.
