The biggest issue IMO is just that Nod-Kirai seems to be doubling down on extremely restrictive enemy/boss gimmicks. Radiant enemies/the Raidant moth fucking over shields harder than riftwolves ever could with a bonus of screwing over Furina and Bennett, the bloom local legend actually requiring bloom or hyperbloom to fight it at all, the two new EC/LC shill bosses both having very high hydro RES but low electro RES to punish trying to bruteforce through with an off-field electro + Neuv, and frostnight scions being impossible to deal with unless you bring a single specific element they’re otherwise immune to or lunar reactions. The game really really wants you to be doing lunar reactions now, and as long as that remains the case you’ll likely be heavily encouraged or even effectively forced into running a LC team.
Yes, on basically anything outside of LC, you’d be much better off running one of the usual suspects for off-field hydro damage. But when LC and lunar reactions in general are likely going to be pushed super heavily as the “meta” for the next several months minimum, it does mean that you’re more likely to end up wanting Aino anyways even if on paper she’s a joke compared to her competition. She has one tiny niche, but that niche is being forced onto you extremely hard.
Also she’s cute.
