It’s funny because they’re both the closest thing each other has to a real friend, yet they’re both constantly tugging and pulling at this leash of forced trust they have in each other because they found out each other’s secrets, and they have to play out the prisoner’s dilemma for both their own sakes. For them to really be friends, Kaoru has to work through her trust issues, and Ai has to… damn, that might not be salvageable. Yeesh.

I don’t quite know what I wanna do next, exactly. I want my next writefag to be more action-focused, for one, but I’m not quite sure how the action unfolds in this setting just yet. Like, do the good guys do regular raids into Bleeding Zones? How organised are they? That kind of thing I just don’t have a proper grasp of just yet, I have to read more.
