I'm trying to discern whose stuff is whose; is he the guy who is painting most of the models with photo previews? Those are typically tagged with Garin's name on MMF, and I suppose they give a better initial impression than a blank render, don't hate most of what I see but also not particularly huge on it either, and maybe it doesn't look as good past that initial sugarcoating. I think there's way more uninspiring stuff out there especially when it comes to proxies, and between the not-marines, I assume he's going for a Unification Wars sort of angle?

>But the vast majority of STL files is just "whatever". I guess that is just how it is.
Legally-distinct proxies to be fair especially have to contend with printing official designs for a given game or very good approximations of them, essentially going up against an entire aesthetic. The Jade Coalition example might be useful to the odd person who really hates how Tau looks but wants to try their rules or some shit, or whatever in some other wargame.
