Nah, Zach Wilson had major issues across the board. He couldn't see the field, he couldn't read a defense, he couldn't throw accurately in any scenario, and he didn't know his playbook.
Mccarthy has shown some golden highlights, and when he has his mechanics down he can throw incredibly accurately. He's also shown a ton of acumen at being able to read defenses and see the field.
His major problem is that when he starts panicking, usually as the game goes on, his mechanics fall apart, and when his mechanics fall apart his accuracy does too. If Mccarthy becomes a bust it will be because he isn't able to learn how to control his emotions, or at least retain his mechanics while riled up. If he learns to do either, he's going to be a very elite QB
