That style of hammer is normal. "Full auto" cut bolt carriers are also the norm. Semi bolt carriers were a thing. So were the silly Colt semi hammers like pic. It isn't 1980, 1990, or 2000-something anymore and I don't think even Colt is even doing silly things like that anymore. In M16 parts kit builds (semi auto lowers) the entire bolt+bolt carrier and most of the trigger group is used. The hammer would have a little nub on the tip if it were full auto (M16 style, at least). A three position selector will only do safe/semi/semi in any semi lower (no autosear) IIRC. Difference between AR15 and M16 triggers is the open back of the slot (M16) and closed back of the slot (AR15/semi). Not having silly CYA semi only parts probably cuts way down on parts cost and probably increases reliability if anything.
