Ace was on par with Yamato and Jinbei. Both Yamato and Jinbei traded blows with yonkou. Yamato with Kaido knocking him down and taking some blows. Jinbei stopping Big Mom's sword with his bare arms and punching her off the ship.

I'm not saying Yamato and Jinbei are yonkou level, but given how post-Katakuri Luffy got one shot out of gear 4 instantly by Kaido after dealing zero damage compared to Jinbei and Yamato who were able to deal some damage and take some, Ace is at least past WCI level Luffy.
