For Tactics 1? It’s not too hard, since the time limits are more lenient. Striders are your friends, have your POW armor follow them around to resupply them, and nuke everything into oblivion. Make ample use of your POW Armor and the Jormungand class’s Decoy functions early on, as the explosion from them is powerful enough to cripple or outright destroy whatever it hits. Your Midnight Eye is indispensable until you get your Drednought Class cruiser, as without it you are practically flying blind, and that is a death sentence when bumping into an enemy you can’t see often means death from wave cannon. Beware that if you fire your wave cannon at a unit that also has its own wave cannon charged, they will counterpunch with their own, causing heavy damage. Also: the AI doesn’t care about friendly fire and will happily fire through its own troops with a wave cannon just to fuck you over.
Tactics II is several magnitudes more difficult because it introduces more strict time limits, nerfs the above cheese strats, and depending on what side you play you’ll be handicapped early on in different ways. Jamming becomes extremely important later in the game, and you are often badly outnumbered and outgunned.
