for whatever reason, that’s never happened to me. there’s bands that blew up on tiktok that i then got into (most notably beach bunny and mxmtoon, to a lesser, more diy emo specific extent, harrison gordon) as well as a bunch of small bands i love that haven’t blown up at all, but none i really got in on the ground floor that then got famous on tik tok. closest is either saturdays at you place, who are still not that big and also i think i got into very shortly before they began rising, or arm’s length, who are also just a big for their scene emo band
