>Leftism would tax the rich properly
Not even remotely true that's not what leftism is at all, taxing the rich is not the same as socializing the means of production (state ownership).

Either way, taxing the rich means nothing because the central banks will continue to print more and more money, and even if you took every penny of the "rich" people's wealth it would not support the current system with its constant waste and bloat.

>But right now the pendulum is full on fascist and has been for a long time
We are living in an age where most of Europe is under socdem governments with massive tax caps and state welfare systems, the state has far more influence in production than ever, and right wing populist movements are often shut down, infiltrated, or created as honeypots to stifle interest. But yeah man sure we're living under le fashizm

>Hence why you can't tell the difference between liberal and leftist
Says the liberal who clearly hasn't even fucking read engels lmao

leftism is the same authoritarian rule that the capitalists want to garner through the state, just given a different name and expected not to become corrupt because they try to force incentives out of the material conditions.
