However Madoka ends, whether that be through Kaiten, a season 2, or a 5th movie, i believe it will reconfirm the ending thesis of hope from season 1. I also believe that for this to happen, the question of Homura will need to be answered. Homura is incapable of being happy as long as Madoka is the LOC and is suffering for it. Meaning that it's unlikely for Madoka Magica to end with Madoka becoming the LOC again if we assume the first two statements are correct (The reconfirmation of the idea that hope always exists and Homura moving beyond her suffering being necessary to put a final ending to Madoka Magica). I also think this means it's unlikely for a joint LOC controlled by both Homura and Madoka as it wouldn't resolve this and goes against what both characters want.
The question remains then on what ending will Madoka Magica have assuming the prior statements are correct
