I believe this shows the bullet came from his right, bounced around in his skull, and exited his neck. A small wound is visible above his left ear, but I believe this is exit wound from skull fragment (last frame). Scanning through the video is a bit better, but watching at full speed is extremely hard to see.

Wanted to post this. In the frame of the bullet, we can also see the appearance of shock-wave condensation, appearing as a small ball of smoke / mist which quickly dissipates. That would mean the bullet likely came from Kirk's back right. Which means it entered his skull from the back right, ricocheting off the inner left wall of the cranium downward / slightly forward out of his neck. In the final frame you can see the pieces of skull as well as the protrusion of the left side of the skull.
