>All the Elfilis discussion I missed
Hey, no fair, I was busy today!

Honestly? Vanilla. As nice as the extra choir in Starry is, I think the parts it muffles are a bit too much of a loss. Vanilla's also one of my favorite tracks... ever, so I think I'm just skeptical of any arrangement.

>Genwel looks different because of the starries he assimilated. Fecto probably took on the traits of animals he consumed in a similar way.
On the discussion regarding the Elfilis's native appearance, I'm inclined to believe Fecto is probably the one closest to a "default" Elfilis specifically due to the whiskers. I've said it before but if you look veeeeeery closely at the Dark Meteor, you can make out Meteon's larval form wrapping itself in its ears. If you look even more closely, in that form he still has the whiskers, despite not having them as Genwel, which is really interesting.

>Is the natural form for the "elfilis" species more like goo or the thing?
I strongly believe that's the case, the cores are their souls (Meteon actively having it more exposed, Elfilis fighting to keep it hidden) and their physical matter they can manipulate more freely, at least to a degree, and that "Elfilis" form is probably the most "optimal" evolution they can devise, with each brother keeping the same mold but prioritizing slightly different things (i.e. Meteon's tail).

Ah, guessing you saw the thing from the guidebook too? It is also somewhat hinted at in the novels.
The stuff about Elfilis/n having a connection to Starries is... Interesting. I've always gone with the idea of him going down onto the Forgotten Land as Fecto Elfilis, given the game frames all of it around "invasion" and the tour mentions the fact he targeted the wildlife, it feels as though it was something much more proactive than just "meteor fell and killed stuff"... And the thing with Meteon's meteor being knocked off course is also very odd to me due to the 2 figures...
