From my PC, they're based off some weird arca live meme doodle style, which they're commonly used in some gacha communities.
At least that's what I can recollect from what I've seen so far, there's hundreds of variations like the Jazz jack kot ones. They grew on me.
They're also easier and quicker to make than the suigremlins thanks to it's size format.
