I will never understand the ship's appeal. The game makes it clear Eito is a retsnom sexual, and never knew or cared for Darumi as a person. They barely talk to or interact with each other in the game as a whole. If you want Hetero stuff for Darumi, Takumi, Gaku, and Yugamu are there.
I know Darumi is pretty popular among women as a she's just like me kind of a thing, So my only other guess would be yumes self inserting as Darumi because they like and relate to her, and shipping themselves with Eito
