In 2022, former CIA agent Joe Kent ran as the Republican nominee in the election for Washington's 3rd congressional district. While initially promising of not attacking Nick Fuentes in exchange for support from his alt-right base, Kent then viciously turned against him for being anti-Israel and for not unconditionally supporting all Republican candidates in every election. In response, Nick Fuentes and his supporters "groyped" Joe Kent and publicly humiliated him with uncomfortable questions at the Onalaska town hall, which contributed to him losing the election. Soon after, Max Blumenthal (a Jewish journalist) and Anya Parampil (Blumenthal's Indian wife) wrote this massive article to blame Nick Fuentes for Kent's loss and accuse him of being a federal agent.

To quote the article:
>his history of entanglement with federal authorities and uncanny ability to sabotage Trump’s “America First” movement from within have fueled speculation that he is, in fact, “controlled opposition.”
At the same time the article came out, some mysterious individual gave the platform Influenceable $100,000 to start a campaign that would pay each influencer $100 to post a link to Blumenthal's article with the hashtag #FedFuentes. The campaign got quickly shut down by Influenceable after Nick Fuentes exposed it (among those who participated in the campaign there was a gay pedophile Jew from New York), but the attempts to label Nick Fuentes a federal agent have continued on multiple social media platforms since then, including on a certain Politically Incorrect imageboard.
Joe Kent was the Republican nominee again in the 2024 congressional election for the same seat; on November 9th, he lost to Gluesenkamp Perez in a rematch.
