>Actually, we wrote that the Russian summer offensive failed, comparing strategic aims and actual outcome.
Wtf is he even smoking?
The main weapons supplier to Ukraine, ie the US, have no more weapons to send.
They have approved the sale of ERAM.
A missile that early this year only existed as an artists rendering and a papier maché mockup on an arms expo.
That along with surplus HAWKS from the 50s is essentially what the US can sell to Europe who then deliver it to Ukraine.
So we are down to antiques and imaginary weapons, to be paid for with money that don't exist.
This is the war that is fought
The grey area in this chart is currently unfunded potential deliveries, and dark red is weapon sales that the US have approved but the Eu haven't found the money for.
We also see five cities being on the verge of falling.
Siversk, Pokrovsk, Myrnograd and Konstantinovka, not to mention the fastest pace of advance since 2022.
But the war is an attritional one and should be judged as such.
And in terms of attrition, it is going so well that Europe has managed to disarm itself, commit economic seppuku, the US to leave Ukranda and the Ukraine running out of bodies to send to the frontline.
I fail to see how this can be considered anything but a slam dunk for Russia.
