melee still has competitive tournaments and it doesnt have motion inputs.

Your argument is that removing motion inputs means the same as removing the skill diference between a pro and a noob.

The issue is companies cattering to anime fags by adding layers of mechanics that are poggers to people that doesn't play the genre, instead of just going back to fundamentals and focusing on making a simple 2D action platformer that has pvp with some basic cancel options and feels good to move and is focused on zoning and poking and spacing and the characters have multiple gameplay styles and archetypes really work, rather than making all the characters feel like copy pasted shit with le comeback poggers mechanic cutscene.
