if the writers were really confident in their writing they would add a skip button, if their story was good no one would skip it, why would i skip a good story?

genshin's story is bloated with filler and they know it, and they also know that the second it's easier to skip a good 60% of the players will stop engaging with a story that never improved in 5 years.
and they are scared of this reality, their ego wouldn't handle it.
