The American people have been indoctrinated into voting against their own interests and believing in bullshit. A healthy democracy requires a well-informed voter base that is capable of critical thinking which we do not have at present.
Instead we have a bunch of people who voted for Trump because they were fooled into believing that democrats are America-hating communists and that Trump, a corrupt billionaire oligarch conman who has a lifelong history of fucking over workers, is the savior of the American working class.
