Turns out we've since then had TWO versions by those exact fanboys to absolutely disastrous results. The general audiences don't care about some faggot in trunks saving squirrels. They want something exciting and cool. Something that's truly extraordinary. Even the Rick & Morty skit which was half jerking off Gunn did indirectly paint the fundamental difference between a director who just wants to make something cool and a director who is absolutely obsessed with having his ass kissed by forum no-life dwellers.
