What part of date peers of the same age as you don’t these creeps understand?

Can someone explain to me why this has gotten so damn popular? It can’t be about protecting children this is something deeper. It’s like people are pissed off at the idea of other people having sex and collectively agreed no one should be getting laid except to procreate and if it’s as unenjoyable as possible.
