What I've found when I poured the new glue is that it's not clear (like the previous, and like I had naively assumed every epoxy glue was) but a very strong grey, and it's a lot less viscous than the previous, so I only managed to load it with about 15% dust by weight rather than the 44% I had in mind.
The result is it was hard to work with, I couldn't fill the cracks properly and the dry glue isn't smooth.
I also discovered that the reason traditional kintsugi repairs look like that is not only gold dust, but also lacquer, and the glue I used doesn't have the texture or looks of lacquer at all.
