game's progression is more like in Zelda games where you get small health and stamina upgrades by exploring optional areas, so by the end of the game you'll have double of your starting stamina at most. I'm trying to make stamina management an important part of combat, since skills like the round slash or the shield bash are your main ways of crowd control.

yeah I had to force myself to not spam the best skills all the time lol. I've also made it so the player needs to do a "consume item" animation to avoid heal spam from the menu like in DD, where I could take 20 mushrooms while riding a griffin.
