>Why did you turn to military to discuss the ability of protestants to leave the catholic church, if the discussion of catholic authority wasn't backed by sword?
It's a war on terrorism. Protestants' entire heresy is motivated by the belief that Islamic terrorism is not real and holy war against the Muslims is unjustified. You betrayed Christ and you betrayed His Church. When Christ asked Saint Paul, "Why do you persecute me?" He was telling you, the reader, something important: To persecute Christianity is to persecute Christ Himself. This implies a moral obligation to help your neighbor to resist Islamic rule. The first and foremost sin of Protestantism, its original sin so to speak, is that the heresy was founded on the persecution of other Christians who lived closer to the frontlines of the Islamic war against Christendom, and by the time of Luther's death he would rail against the Caliphate as he found out they also attacked Protestants, indiscriminately persecuting all non-Muslims.
Christ said "love thy neighbor" and you continue to flout this and flout His Church which He personally established and which is heavily documented in the Scriptures. Of course Christ backs His Church via any means necessary, depending on such means as may be the wisest in the period. This is how Christ defends His Church and why it has existed for nearly 2000 years since His Passion.
