>Circumcision was the covenant between God and the jews
Not really. Circumcision was the physical sign of the covenant between God and Abraham. And that convenant passed genetically to the descendants of Abraham (Isaac, Jacob, and onward). God renamed Jacob to Israel, and from that point, the covenant people were Israel, which is a spiritual condition. Circumcision was never a requirement to be in Israel. It is merely symbolic of the covenant God made.
When Jesus came, He was rejected by most jewish people, who had already gotten far off track from the true faith anyway (the Pharisees and Saducees were the two prominent jewish factions at the time of Jesus, and Jesus told them both that they were wrong because they focused on following the Law rather than on faith in the coming Messiah, who Jesus is).
So those jews that rejected Jesus (the majority of them) were broken off from the "tree" -- which is representative of Israel and the covenant with God -- and the gentiles that had faith in Jesus Christ were grafted into the tree.
There is one covenant, the everlasting covenant. And we are grafted in by faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross, i.e. His life's blood shed on the Cross for forgiveness of all our sins, His burial, and His resurrection on the third day for our justification before God.
