I know you're joking, but I want to point out seriously that the show itself is drenched in artistic intent that makes this inevitable. The end shot this episode really does frame the entire setup with the graffiti marked hideout in the sprawl and the technocrats' shining tower looming in the distance. The music motif and the beat of one's own drum, the individual beat of e-pulse. It's already firmly planted itself in square one for a classic cyberpunk story.
