Nobody at the time expected Dontnod to go as far as it did, even if the devs made many times clear they wanted an anthological approach with different characters and locations, saying Max and Chloe story was over. and it was kind of a cold shower to be as bold as it was. Not like politics weren't part of the core identity as of LiS1, but the presentation and the road trip format is what discouraged many people to try it in the first place. Unironically it had way more effort and replay value than any of the D9 games, on top of still being as relevant as it was
