To spoil the first episode, there's a coup, the princess runs away, her soul gets swapped with the soul of a mercenary woman, so now the princess is a badass.
Also, the manga has several big differences in the plot and doesn't really have much of an ending compared to the anime version, so you can check that out afterwards if you want.
And it's only six episodes, so you can probably finish it in a day or two, depending on how busy you are with other stuff.
