Are they, really? The Russian army and Putin threats Ukraine with velvet gloves. Every month, the "greatest strike since the conflict began" is made by Russia. Hundreds of missiles and drones are sent. What happens then? Half a dozen people are wounded, and maybe a couple die. This is not how you conduct a war of annihilation. If you want to see that that looks like, look at what the jews did to Gaza and southern Lebanon. That's what a foreign force that doesn't give a fuck about the native population does. Ukranians still have access to water and electricity. Their infraestructure is largely intact. The Russian government always makes sure to specify it's fighting "the Kiev regime" and not "Ukraine" or "Ukranians". Almost no country in the world would do that.
