Here's the problem, why would they do that when pokemon as it is already provides more than other monster tamers? As much as people want to cry about

It doesn't change the fact that other monster tamers that are currently out don't have anything to do or pad the game out with an endless amount of cutscenes. Hell with something like Palworld you don't even control the Pals, they just auto attack for meagre damage and provide passive buffs so what's the point in them being there if they're just glorified equips?
Even the raising part is nigh non-existent. I'd rather play Digimon World DS for that and that was a tedious nightmare.
As dire as pokemon is right now it still has more variety in minigames and side modes to make you want to play it and raising a pokemon doesn't take a lifetime.
Not to mention there's a choice of like 800 monsters whereas others hover around 400 after dlc.
