The ghosts are fake. The villain is the only one to die. And she technically dies off-screen.

Somehow, this Scooby Doo grade film is given the same rating as pro wrestling's heyday when they fake tits, real blood, and PG-13 levels of profanity.

I know this is an Old Man Yells At Cloud moment, but this is kinda ridiculous.
