Artstyle and lighting-wise they're inferior but everything else is pretty much on-par if not sliiightly worse, though all three games have time trials, playable Coco, and Crash 1 has manual saving whereas the original did not. I'd recommend playing through the originals though Nitro Fueled is an absolute must-play, once of the best kart racing games I've ever played.
