Russian fairytale: The fox and the pitcher.
A woman went out to harvest the fields and hid a pitcher of milk in the bushes. A fox approached the pitcher, stuck her head inside, lapped up all its contents and would've headed home had it not been for a misfortune — she couldn't pull her head out.
She walks around, swaying her head and saying
>Now-now, pitcher, you've pulled out quite a prank but this is enough — let me go! Stop jesting, dearie, you've had your fun!
Yet the pitcher doesn't let go no matter what.
The fox enraged:
>Just you wait, you cursed thing, if you don't do the right thing by letting me go then I shall drown you!
The fox approached the river and began drowning the pitcher. The pitcher drowned and took the fox with it.
