Remember that Putin doesn't need to come out of this with a win. Trump does. So Trump will offer a mineral deal under threat of massive sanctions on Russia and the people who do business with Russia.
Putin will basically tell Trump to go fuck himself, and then go home to continue the war that he has no intention of ending.
Publicly they'll talk some bullshit about 'agreeing to further talks' or some shit like that to save face.
That's how it will go.
