Madoka's Idolon falls into the annoying zoner archetype. She's got some stat scaling from absolute resonance and Cogito Ergo Sum III, but I don't expect her to keep up with the Freakish or Beast Idolons.

One one hand, she's got Negacion III and Yata Mirror. She can slowly nerf the bleeding zone and her enemies without losing any strength on her side, all the while blocking and reflecting incoming attacks. The Yata mirrors in particular has some tricks she might use. Stuff like storing incoming attacks rather than reflecting them right away so she can release it all at once like a bomb, spawning a Yata Mirror behind the enemy to ping-pong attacks back and forth, placing it on the ground to use it's blackhole features as a speedtrap for enemies trying to rush her, etc. Debuff stacking + a very strong stalling method makes her annoying to deal with.

On the other hand, her summons are origami soldiers that can re-fold themselves into other shapes on command. It gives them a lot of variation in how they can attack. A soldier could turn into an oversized paper greatsword for another soldier to wield, a paper horse to provide another soldier with greater mobility, etc. Madoka can also have them jump into the Yata Mirror, spitting the soldiers out like projectile attacks (that'll get up and start attacking the enemy after landing). I think the rule about commanders not being able to use their abilities on themselves wouldn't apply to their minions, so she should be able to use her support skills (Enhancement III and Banish) to buff the origami soldiers. Granted it'd just make them somewhat stronger fodder, but as a group they'd be a decent threat that enemies can't just ignore.

Though even with all that, I don't really expect her to be winning any 1v1s. This is more about how she can job gracefully or stall for time until help arrives. Her Idolon is more meant to play a supporting role in combat, so her place to shine is always going to be group fights.
