Momo Watanabe, who won the "5STAR GP," laughed and cried. August 23rd, Ota Ward General Gymnasium. She defeated AZM to win. In 2021, she advanced to the finals and faced Syuri, but lost. "I was so disappointed at that time," she recalled. It was her second time in the finals.
>"I finally won after my ninth appearance. I've kept all those damn fans who support Momo Watanabe waiting so long. Winning is so hard to come by. To all those who hold all the belts in the world, prepare yourself, because I, Momo Watanabe, am coming. Now is the time for Momo Watanabe."
Watanabe's face was all crumpled as she put on the winner's cape and held the trophy.
>"I'm not crying. I can't cry here. I still have a lot to do. But I'm going to savor this victory. Who knows how many times I'll win."
Watanabe spoke one night after the fierce battle.
>"I'm 25. I was born in 2000, so it's easy to count. People around me tell me that 25 is a turning point in a woman's life. Your hobbies change, or you suddenly start feeling unwell. I think I've also become a little more easily fatigued mentally (laughs). Shortly before I turned 25, I started not eating fatty foods. Everyone around me is getting married, so I think it's time for me to take another step towards adulthood."
Watanabe spoke about her age of 25 and her 11th year as a wrestler.
>"Maybe it was early. I started when I was in middle school, so when I think about it, it was surprisingly early. That may be because Stardom moves so quickly, which makes it seem that way even more so. Ah, the kids joining are younger now. Until I was 20, it was always older people, but recently it's all younger people joining. It makes me feel like I've been doing this for a long time. But 25 is actually quite young."
