The way shit's named and organized is not intuitive at all. Someone who hasn't actually *studied* what things are for could make some very wrong assumptions:
bin - where you put things you want to delete
media - photos, videos, music
dev - development tools
usr - the user's files actually used to be the case, before they started using home instead

Still, I'd rather cope with this nonsense than deal with Windows' increasing authoritarian hostility.
