I know, I've been playing Gold in a very exploitative manner (cutting ryanmen to force honitsu, riichi on chiinitsu, pushing mediocre iishanten against likely open tenpai, furiten kokushi, etc), which would fail in Jade. A lot more strategies work in Gold because they're much slower to riichi.
Doing the math, I can unironically become a gold sanma saint with my current performance.
