this is also something i don't understand. i guess it makes sense if you see it as a way of creating a porn/adult content monopoly and funneling people toward pornography as a main outlet by rooting out competition. one of the more common arguments against coomer games and fan service i've seen was telling people to "just go watch porn", so who knows. this is just my own conspiratorial headcannon though
