So I had a group of religious refugees request citizenship in a foreign land, and I based their exodus to that land on the Parsis of India.
According to legend, the Rajah of the area said they could live in his land with the following conditions:
>Must learn the local language
>Must adopt the local dress
>Explain their religion to him
>No proselytization, cannot convert locals to their faith
>Conduct their rituals at nightfall so as to not stand out as much
>Surrender their weapons
However I intended the land they emigrate to is quite dangerous with many animals that are quite dangerous.
So my idea is that instead of surrendering their weapons, they:
>Are allowed spears, knives, bows - hunting tools
>Are not allowed metal armour
With the exception of those who join the military. Thoughts on that?
I also wonder how reasonable the other conditions are- adopting the language, no proselytization, and conducting rituals out of sight seem reasonable, but I wonder about the adopting of the local dress.
